Learn the Truth About Clear Braces

Clear BracesWhen it comes to clear braces, there are many misconceptions that float around. Since clear braces are a relatively new technology, it takes time for the general public to embrace the changes. The idea of being able to straighten your teeth without wearing metal bars across your teeth for months is a revolutionary concept.

While clear braces have been around for a while now, people are still gradually warming up to the idea that they are just as effective, if not more so than traditional braces.

How Clear Braces can Straighten Your Teeth

When it comes to clear braces, there are plenty of pundits, internet experts, and people willing to offer their advice for free available either on the internet or in your immediate social circles. Our recommendation is to receive answers to your questions about clear braces by coming in and speaking to us.

If you are considering straightening your teeth and want to consider the option of clear braces, we recommend that you come in for a consultation visit. During the visit, we can tell you what the best options are and if clear braces are a good fit for you.

But What About….?

One of the most common misconceptions about clear braces is that they cost significantly more to have placed. This is an understandable conclusion to reach when you consider that clear braces are a far more superior technologically-advanced way of straightening your teeth. With clear braces, people experience a lack of awkward wires and metal in the mouth. People also wonder if clear braces are more expensive than traditional braces.

The short answer is that clear braces can be slightly more expensive than traditional braces. However, in the long term, we find that clear braces are working out to be comparable to traditional braces when it comes to price.  When you factor in the convenience of clear braces along with the lack of needing to come in for adjustments all the time, it works out to be almost the same in price as traditional braces.

Another common misconception with clear braces is that they take longer to straighten your teeth than traditional braces, which is not true. Clear braces operate along the same principles of traditional braces and straighten your teeth by applying an amount of pressure on them. The pressure is just the right amount to safely and comfortably move them into the correct alignment.

Are Traditional braces more effective than clear braces?

Clear braces do exactly the same job as traditional braces in moving your teeth to a better-aligned position. So clear braces do not take any longer to straighten your teeth than traditional braces do. The only thing that needs to be considered when discussing the timeline for straightening your teeth is the amount of malocclusion you have.
