Clearcorrect Claremont, CA

ClearCorrect is an increasingly popular teeth-straightening treatment. Many people have to cope with crooked or misaligned teeth and an uneven smile. If this describes you, you may have explored braces as a treatment option in the past. On the other hand, many people do not want to wear braces since they are conspicuous. Braces are typically associated with adolescents, and you may not want to appear like a teenager again for various reasons. This is where ClearCorrect comes in.

An overview of ClearCorrect

ClearCorrect is a tooth straightening treatment that was introduced back in 2006. The procedure is quickly becoming popular as more individuals become aware of the benefits of opting for this teeth-straightening method.

ClearCorrect uses custom-made, transparent aligners that gradually move a patient's teeth in the desired direction over time. They may address tooth alignment issues such as crowded or spaced teeth, crooked teeth, overbites, and underbites to provide a straighter smile.

One could consider them invisible braces. They are made of transparent acrylic and perform the same function as braces without overly visible elements. They will gently straighten your teeth without anybody knowing, and they can be removed too.

The ClearCorrect process

ClearCorrect works by gently correcting the alignment of teeth until they are in the appropriate position. The transparent plastic aligners induce gradual pressure to straighten the teeth gradually. The ClearCorrect aligners are switched for a new set every few weeks, and this process is continued until the teeth are in the desired position. A new aligner is used to correct the teeth one step at each new stage, typically lasting between four to six weeks.

The ClearCorrect treatment procedure is as follows:

  1. Initial consultation: Since not everyone is an ideal candidate for ClearCorrect treatment, patients interested in the procedure will need to schedule a consultation with their dentist to see whether it is suitable for them. The dentist will provide a cost estimate, and the time it will take to complete the procedure
  2. Assessment: The dentist will next take photographs and x-rays of the oral cavity and imprints of the teeth if the patient is eligible for ClearCorrect. This will then develop a personalized treatment plan
  3. Consolidation: This information will be submitted to ClearCorrect, which will create a set of bespoke clear aligners for the patient. The aligner trays will be sent to the dentist once they are ready

The treatment and adjustment phase

The dentist will explain how to use the aligners correctly and provide helpful instructions to ensure a seamless treatment. Patients will need to visit their dentist every four to six weeks for a check-up and to obtain a new set of aligners. Each aligner tray is worn until the teeth have moved enough to allow the next aligner to be worn. The overall duration of the treatment will depend on the circumstances and objectives of each patient.
